Everglades City, FL – Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee and Dean of the Florida Congressional Delegation, presented a $7.2 million check to the Everglades City to the Everglades City Community Center during the Everglades City Seafood Festival that took place on February 14, 2026.

Hialeah Gardens, FL – Last week, Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Committee and Dean of the Florida Congressional Delegation, presented a $2 million check to the City of Hialeah Gardens Police Department to support critical vehicle upgrades. This funding will replace aging patrol cars, reduce maintenance downtime, and put 30 new vehicles on the streets to improve public safety response.

Hialeah Gardens, FL – Today, U.S. Representatives Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), María Elvira Salazar (FL-27), Carlos A. Giménez (FL-28), and Senator Ashley Moody marked the 30th year since the 1996 shootdown of two Brothers to the Rescue aircraft ordered by Raúl Castro, which resulted in the deaths of four innocent men. The Representatives were joined by family members of the victims who perished, as well as leaders of the Cuban American exile community.

Giménez (FL-28) y la senadora Ashley Moody conmemoraron el 30mo aniversario del derribo en 1996 de dos avionetas de Hermanos al Rescate, ordenado por Raúl Castro, que resultó en la muerte de cuatro hombres inocentes. Los congresistas estuvieron acompañados por familiares de las víctimas y por líderes de la comunidad del exilio cubanoamericano.
