MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Díaz-Balart to Deliver Nearly $5 Million in Federal Funds to Combat Flooding and Improve Safety in Hialeah
HIALEAH, FL – Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), Dean of the Florida Delegation, invites members of the media to attend a check presentation ceremony on Wednesday, April 8, at 11:30 a.m.
The event celebrates the $4.9 million in federal funding secured by Congressman Díaz-Balart for the City of Hialeah stormwater improvements in Southeast Hialeah. This funding will be used for infrastructure improvements along SE 6th and 8 Ave and SE 4th and 8th Street. The proposed improvements include stormwater mitigation through the installation of curbs and gutters, as well as the reconstruction of roadways. The installation of sidewalks and energy-efficient LED street lighting is also included.
