WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26), a senior member of the House Committee on Appropriations, issued the following statement after the passage of H.R. 4821, the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill for fiscal year 2024.
The Everglades is a natural treasure and is one of the true ecological wonders of the world, but its existence is in jeopardy due to decades of abuse. Recognizing this problem, I, along with Representative Alcee L. Hastings founded the Everglades Caucus in the House of Representatives.
