Are you planning a visit to Washington, D.C.? While you are in Washington, D.C., I encourage you and your family to stop by my office. Whether you're coming on a short business trip or an extended family vacation, my office can help you make arrangements for some of the more popular federal attractions in our nation's capital.

You may place an online tour request with our office. These tours are an excellent way to see all that the nation's capital has to offer, and all of these tours are of no charge to you. All tickets are provided to my constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to a large number of visitors, please request these as early as possible in order to maximize your chances. 

We are able to help you reserve tours to the White House, the U.S. Capitol, and the FBI.

The following are policies determined by the White House for those requesting tours through Congressional Offices:

  • Tours must be requested at least three weeks in advance.
  • Tours are only available Tuesday through Saturday (excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted) between 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. . All White House tours are free of charge. The White House tour schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or official use.
  • Consistent with prior practices, public White House tour requests must be submitted a minimum of 21 days in advance and no more than 90 days in advance of the requested tour date(s). Reservations cannot be accepted for tour dates outside this 21 – 90-day window.
  • Tour duration may last up to an hour
  • The selection process for White House tours is automated & randomized.

For U.S. Capitol tours, please review the following information:

  • Guide-led tour hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The last guide-led tour begins at 3:20 PM. Guide-led tour hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The last guide-led tour begins at 3:20 PM.
  • Groups should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their reservation time.
  • Tour groups should enter via the main entrance of the Capitol Visitors Center and check in at Emancipation Hall
  • The public may also reserve tours directly through the public CVC website: https://www.visitthecapitol.gov
  • The Old Senate Chamber and the Old Supreme Court Chamber are open to tours.
  • Tour duration may last between 1.5-2 hours
  • The Capitol Visitor Center is open to visitors with tour reservations from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day and on Inauguration Day.

For FBI tours, please include the full names, date of birth, citizenship, and social security number (if U.S. green card holder or citizen), for every individual attending the tour via our office online request form.

  • Scheduling timeline:
    • 5 months: Tours may be scheduled up to five months in advance.
    • 4 weeks: Tours must be scheduled no later than four weeks out.
    • 10 visitors: At this time, tour coordinators are limited to scheduling ten visitors per tour time.
    • 30 minutes: Visitors should arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled tour time to allow time for security processing and visiting the gift shop.
    • 60-90 minutes: The tour is designed to last 60 to 90 minutes.

At the time being, Congressional offices are unable to book tours on behalf of constituents visiting the Library of Congress and the Pentagon.

The Library of Congress is currently offering self-guided, self-booked timed entry passes to the building. Passes are available on a first-come, first serve basis. Please check current availability on the Library's website here: https://www.loc.gov/visit/

Pentagon tours are available on a limited basis for U.S. citizens on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.  Pentagon tour guides will conduct tours for up to 20 people during each time slot.  U.S. citizens who would like to tour the Pentagon must register at least two weeks in advance and will require clearance to enter the Pentagon by the Pentagon Forces Protection Agency.  Tours are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis. The tour route is approximately 1.5 miles in length and lasts for approximately 60 minutes. To request a tour, please click here.

Although the Supreme Court does not offer guided walking tours, visitors are encouraged to tour public portions of the building on a self-guided basis and take advantage of a variety of educational programs, including Courtroom Lectures and court-related Exhibitions. In addition to the Courtroom, portions of the first and ground floors are open to the public. Highlights include the John Marshall statue, portraits and busts of former Justices, and two self-supporting marble staircases. The Courtroom is located on the first floor. Seating for the oral argument sessions will be provided to the public, members of the Supreme Court bar, and the press.

Court sessions, including handing down of opinions, are also open to the public. Courtroom seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors should be aware that the business of the Court may, from time to time, affect public access to the building or alter the programming offered. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing 

Located in the heart of the Nation's Capital, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing’s Tour and Visitor Center at the Washington, D.C. facility is a great place to learn all about U.S. paper currency. We welcome you to explore our Visitor Center currency exhibits or join us on a tour to see how billions of dollars are printed! Our Tour and Visitor Center is free of charge to all visitors. Open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. with last tour at 2 p.m., the last Visitor Center entry at 2:45 p.m.

Extended Spring and Summer Hours, March 24 through August 29, 2025:  8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., last tour at 4 p.m., last Visitor Center entry at 4:30 p.m. 

Closed on weekends, federal holidays and December 24, 2025, through January 1, 2026.

Please choose three dates everyone in your party is available to tour the White House. Tours are available Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The tours are self-guided.

White House tours may be submitted up to 6 months in advance, but no later than 3 weeks before the requested tour date.

Each person in your tour party must submit security information to the White House via a link they provide.

What are the options for 'Phone Type?'

Constituents who are hard of hearing or use a video phone have the option to choose TDD or VP based on the type of device they are using. This allows our office to respond to them accordingly. The default option 'Voice' is a standard audible telephone.
