Congressional Taiwan Caucus Co-Chairs Travel to Taiwan

Taipei, Taiwan – Today, Representatives Mario Díaz-Balart (R-FL) and Ami Bera, M.D. (D-CA), co-chairs of the Congressional Taiwan Caucus, have just arrived in Taipei.

While there, the representatives will engage with senior officials from the executive branch and business leaders. The aim of the trip is to reaffirm U.S. support for Taiwan following their successful democratic elections, express solidarity in their commitment to shared democratic values, and explore opportunities to strengthen further the robust economic and defense relationship between the United States and Taiwan.
