Diaz-Balart Honored by Mothers Against Prescription Drug Abuse (MAPDA)

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-26) was recognized by Mothers Against Prescription Drug Abuse (MAPDA) with the 2023 Humanitarian Award for his dedication and leadership in the fight against the misuse of opioids and the fentanyl crisis.
"The threat of prescribed and illicit opioid overdose among Americans is more prevalent than ever before," said Rep. Diaz-Balart. "With 300 Americans dying daily from fentanyl poisoning, we must redouble our efforts to combat the opioid and fentanyl epidemic that continues to plague our nation. I am grateful for MADPA's advocacy and commitment to this important mission, and I am honored to receive the 2023 Humanitarian Award."
