Díaz-Balart Hosts the Winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the office of Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26) hosted Bryan Santizo, a sophomore from Hialeah attending Florida's iMater Charter Middle and High School, who is this year's winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for Florida's 26th Congressional District. Bryan, joined by his mother, toured the U.S. Capitol, where he viewed his piece “Horse,” which now hangs in the halls of the U.S. Capitol.
Bryan's artwork, titled “Horse,” was selected from among 139 entries submitted by students from 21 participating schools. His piece will be displayed for one year at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Artistic Discovery Contest is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, including in Florida's 26th Congressional District.
The Artistic Discovery Contest is open to all high school students in our District. The winning artwork of our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured onHouse.gov's Congressional Art Competition page.
