Diaz-Balart Leads Letter Asking President Biden to Support the Cuban People

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25) led a letter to President Biden, urging that he take decisive and expeditious action to support the Cuban people in their demands for freedom in the wake of the regime's increasing repression leading up to the planned protests on November 15.

"With the Cuban regime’s increasing repression and the planned November 15 protests, I sent a letter to President Biden urging that he take decisive and expeditious action, including through democracy programming, broadcasting, global diplomacy, internet access, and sanctions, to support the longsuffering Cuban people in their pleas for freedom."

Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart was joined by Reps. Maria Elvira Salazar, Carlos A. Gimenez, Nicole Malliotakis, Byron Donalds, Victoria Spartz, and Jenniffer González-Colón.
