Diaz-Balart on the Death of Osama bin Laden

Washington, D.C. –Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) released the following statement in response to the death of Osama bin Laden, the al-Qaeda leader and chief architect of the terrorist attacks on the United States. Diaz-Balart comments:

“Today is a great day for America and for those that choose the path to freedom and peace. It is a time for Americans to stand together remembering the victims of 9/11 and know that justice perseveres above all. The world today is a safer and better place.

“My deepest admiration and appreciation goes out to our armed forces and intelligence officers who carried out this operation successfully, risking their lives to protect our freedom.”
