Miami, FL – On Monday, July 10, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart will join the City of Hialeah Mayor Esteban Bovo and the Hialeah City Council for the Patria y Vida Street Naming Ceremony. Event Details: WHAT: A street naming ceremony will take place in honor of the anthem of freedom, "Patria y Vida" (Homeland and Life), which became a mantra for thousands of Cubans who took to the streets to protest the brutal and murderous Cuban dictatorship. A portion of West 8th Ave will be renamed "Patria y Vida Avenue", and the plaza directly in front of Walker Park will be renamed "Patria y Vida Plaza".
