MEDIA ADVISORY: Rep. Díaz-Balart Joins City of Hialeah Street Naming Ceremony Honoring Lincoln Díaz-Balart
MIAMI, FL – Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26) is pleased to invite members of the media to attend a street naming ceremony honoring Lincoln Díaz-Balart taking place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. In 1993, the Honorable Lincoln Díaz-Balart was sworn in as a Member of the 103rdU.S. Congress. Lincoln Diaz-Balart was known as the defender of the silenced and oppressed, author of the democracy requirement for the lifting of U.S. sanctions against the Cuban dictatorship, and the author of the Nicaraguan Adjustment and Central American Relief Act (NACARA), among other remarkable achievements. He represented Hialeah until he retired from Congress in 2011. WHAT: Street naming ceremony honoring Lincoln Díaz-Balart. Portions of East 4th Ave–from East Okeechobee Road to East 21st Street and from East 25th Street to East 65th Street–will now bear the name “Lincoln Díaz-Balart Way.” |
