Congressman Diaz-Balart responds to an interview by Oscar Haza which aired last night on the program, “A Mano Limpia” on América TeVe, in which President Barack Obama commented on his failed policies toward Cuba and Venezuela.

Congressman Diaz-Balart issued the following statement in response to a letter signed by more than a dozen former Fortune 500 senior executives and business leaders that advocated for the Cuban pro-democracy movement.

Congressmen Diaz-Balart, Ros-Lehtinen, Congressman Rivera, and Senators Menendez and Rubio met with representatives of IKEA of Sweden AB and IKEA North America Services, LLC, regarding recent reports that IKEA may have contracted in the 1980s with the Cuban regime to use prisoner slave labor to manufacture furniture.

Rep. Diaz-Balart and Rep. Rivera will host a conference call tomorrow, Tuesday, May 22nd at 9:00 AM ET to discuss Obama rolling out the red carpet for the Castro family.

Representatives Diaz-Balart, Ros-Lehtinen, Sires, and Rivera sent a letter to Secretary Hillary Clinton expressing outrage that the Obama Administration provided entry visas to high-level Cuban Communist Party operatives Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, Eusebio Leal, and Mariela Castro Espin.
