WASHINGTON, DC— Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Vice-Chair of the Financial Services Subcommittee of the House Committee on Appropriations, demanded information from Danny Werfel, Acting Commissioner of the IRS, and J. Russell George, the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), during yesterday’s subcommittee hearing in regards to the recent political targeting that the IRS has admitted to.
