"We are working to assist Collier County Emergency Management in combating and controlling the brush fires currently burning over 3,000 acres in the area. The State of Florida's initial request for a Fire Management Assistance Grant was denied at the regional level, however we are working to support an appeal and will assist Governor Scott and local officials in any way possible.
