WASHINGTON, D.C.– Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25), Ranking Member of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee on Appropriations, issued the following statement regarding the FY23 funding bill.

WASHINGTON, D.C.– This morning, Co-Chairs of the Congressional Friends of Egypt Caucus, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL-25) and Congressman C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger (D-MD-2), along with nine other members, met with H.E. President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25) issued the following statement regarding the "Respect for Marriage Act," being voted on this week in the House of Representatives.

"The concept of all states respecting other states' decisions on marriage laws is deeply rooted in American jurisprudence and tradition. Similarly, our Founders understood that religious liberties are sacred and vulnerable, and must always be vigorously protected.

WASHINGTON, D.C.– Los representantes Mario Diaz-Balart (FL-25), Maria Elvira Salazar (FL-27) y Carlos A. Giménez (FL-26) enviaron una carta al secretario del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional (DHS, por sus siglas en inglès), Alejandro Mayorkas, expresando una vez más su preocupación por el aparente cambio en la política de Estados Unidos hacia Cuba y solicitando que la Administración implemente un sistema donde familiares y representantes legales puedan encontrar el paradero e información de migrantes cubanos interceptados en el mar.

Gimenez (FL-26) sent a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, once again expressing their concern regarding the apparent shift in U.S.-Cuba policy and requesting that the Administration implement a system where family members and legal representatives can find the whereabouts and information of Cuban migrants interdicted at sea.
